The PTFE Seal holder eliminates the problem of the membrane adhering to the ground glass surface post autoclaving. The funnel bottom is coated with PTFE. The PTFE flange covers the contact surface on the glass base(except for the sintered glass base). The anodized aluminum clamp secures the membrane between the funnel and glass base. While the sintered glass frit support base can be used for general filtration, the 304 stainless steel screen is recommended for viscous or proteinaceous solutions to maximize flow rate and the screen ensures particles will not be shed into the filtrate. The PTFE support can filter acidic solutions at a higher flow rate. Available with a 300mL graduated funnel. The No.8 silicone stopper mounts in a standard 1L vacuum filter flask or manifold cup.
