A transparent acrylic ring is sealed to a 20 μm porosity HDPE disc which protects the top of the gel bed when the sample is manually applied A crossbar on the top of the acrylic ring permits easy removal of the sample diffusion disc from the column Packing Reservoir Funnels The funnels are used for initial column packing and as a small buffer reservoir.
