Application

Ammonium hydroxide solution may be used:

As a medium to prepare magnetite (Fe₃O₄) nanoparticles via a modified controlled chemical coprecipitation method.
As a solvent and reagent to prepare 4-aryl and 4-alkyl-2,6-dimethyl-1,4-dihydro-3,5-pyridinedicarboxylates via Hantzsch synthesis in a microwave cavity synthesizer.
