Immunogen
synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 381-395 of human CCRK.
Application
Yale Center for High Throughput Cell Biology IF-tested antibodies. Each antibody is tested by immunofluorescence against HUVEC cells using the Yale HTCB IF protocol. To learn more about us and Yale Center for High Throughput Cell Biology partnership, visit sigma.com/htcb-if. Anti-CCRK (381-395) antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a dilution of 1:500-1:2,000.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Cell cycle-related kinase (CCRK) is a protein kinase that is homologous to Cdk7. It is a candidate for oncogene in human glioblastoma tumorigenesis. CCRK is also involved in colorectal cancer carcinogenesis and G1/S cell cycle transition by regulating Cdk2, cyclin E and Rb. CCRK plays an important role in the control of cell proliferation via the regulation of cyclin D1 expression, and the overexpression of CCRK. It also acts as an independent molecular marker for shortened survival time of patients with ovarian carcinoma. CCRK along with its substrate ICK (intestinal cell kinase) inhibits ciliogenesis and glioblastoma cell proliferation. Depletion of CCRK leads to accumulation of ICK at ciliary tips, altered ciliary transport and leads to inhibition of cell cycle re-entry in NIH3T3 fibroblasts.
