General description
CXCL9 (chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 9) is a ligand for chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 3 (CXCR3), which is inducible by interferon-γ. It is expressed on CD4+ Th1 cells and CD8+ cytotoxic T cells. It is also secreted by neutrophils and macrophages. It acts as a chemoattractant for activated T-lymphocytes.
Immunogen
Immunogen Sequence: GI # 4505187, sequence 21-64
Recombinant small inducible cytokine B9
Application
Anti-CXCL9 antibody produced in chicken is suitable for western blotting analysis at a dilution of 1:500, for tissue or cell staining at a dilution of 1:200.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 9 (CXCL9) is more abundantly expressed in tumors cells than in normal epithelium. CXCL9 is associated with tumor and aggressiveness of NPC (nasopharyngeal carcinoma) tumors and the serum level of this may be useful as a prognostic indicator. In NPC tumors, serum concentration is found to be significantly higher. CXCL9 can act as a potential therapeutic target for human CGGN (Cryoglobulinemic glomerulonephritis).
