General description
ETS1 belongs to a family of transcription factors that regulates expression of several genes participating in extracellular matrix remodeling. Members of the ETS family regulate a variety of genes involved in stem cell development, cell senescence, and tumorigenesis. ETS1 is typically absent in healthy gastric epithelium, but expressed in many gastric carcinomas and oral squamus cell carcinomas.
This family of transcription factors contains 2 main domains; a transactivation domain (TA), and a winged helix-turn-helix DNA-binding domain that recognizes the core consensus DNA sequence GGAA/T of target genes. This DNA-Binding-Domain is highly conserved among ETS family members.
Specificity
This antibody recognizes ETS1.
Immunogen
Epitope: Unknown
Linear peptide corresponding to human ETS1 DBD.
Application
Research Category
Epigenetics & Nuclear Function
Research Sub Category
Transcription Factors
Use Anti-ETS1 DBD Antibody, clone 1ET 7F2 (Mouse Monoclonal Antibody) validated in WB to detect ETS1 DBD also known as Avian erythroblastosis virus E26 (v-ets) oncogene homolog-1, ets protein.
Quality
Evaluated by Western Blot in HL60 cell lysate.
Western Blot Analysis: 1:1,000 dilution of this antibody detected ETS1 DBD on 10 µg of HL60 cell lysate.
Target description
~ 50 kDa
Physical form
Unpurified
Unpurified mouse monoclonal IgG1κ in preservative-free ascites.
Storage and Stability
Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt.
Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.
Analysis Note
Control
