Specificity
Clone 4H21 is a ZooMAb rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects FKBP52 protein. It targets an epitope within 21 amino acids from the C-terminal region.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to 21 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human FKBP52.
Application
Anti-FKBP52, clone 4H21 ZooMAb, Cat. No. ZRB1024, is a recombinant Rabbit monoclonal antibody that specifically targets FKBP52 and is tested for use in Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin), and Western Blotting.
Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected FKBP52 in HEK293, NIH3T3, and L6 cell lysates.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected FKBP52 in A431 and HepG2 cells.
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected FKBP52 in human testis tissue sections.

Target description
Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase FKBP4 (UniProt: Q02790; also known as EC:5.2.1.8, PPIase FKBP4, 51 kDa FK506-binding protein, FKBP51, 52 kDa FK506-binding protein, 52 kDa FKBP, FKBP-52, 59 kDa immunophilin, p59, FK506-binding protein 4, FKBP-4, FKBP59, HSP-binding immunophilin, HBI, Immunophilin FKBP52, Rotamase) is encoded by the FKBP4 (also known as FKBP52) gene (Gene ID: 2288) in human. FKBP52 is a widely expressed, homodimeric protein that shuttles from the mitochondria to nucleus and co-localizes in mitochondria with the glucocorticoid receptor. It is an immunophilin protein that displays PPIase and co-chaperone activities. Its PPIase activity is attributed mainly to the first PPIase FKBP-type domain (aa 1-138) and the chaperone activity resides in the C-terminal region between amino acids 264 and 400. In the brain it is shown to colocalize with MAPT/TAU in the distal part of the primary cortical neurons. It acts as a regulator of microtubule dynamics by inhibiting MAPT/TAU ability to promote microtubule assembly. It I also a component of steroid receptors heterocomplexes through interaction with heat-shock protein 90 (HSP90) and its phosphorylation by casein kinase 2 results in loss of HSP90 binding activity. This ZooMAb recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.

Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.
Reconstitution
0.3 mg/mL after reconstitution at 25 μL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
Storage and Stability
Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
