Immunogen
The immunogen for anti-GNMT antibody: synthetic peptide derected towards the N terminal of human GNMT
Biochem/physiol Actions
Gnmt catalyzes the methylation of glycine by using S-adenosylmethionine (AdoMet) to form N-methylglycine (sarcosine) with the concomitant production of S-adenosylhomocysteine (AdoHcy). It plays a possible crucial role in the regulation of tissue concentration of AdoMet and of metabolism of methionine.
Sequence
Synthetic peptide located within the following region: GVAAEGLPDQYADGEAARVWQLYIGDTRSRTAEYKAWLLGLLRQHGCHRV
Physical form
Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.
