Immunogen
Human IgM native protein.
Application
Anti-Human IgM antibody produced in chicken is suitable for western blotting analysis at a dilution of 1:500, for tissue or cell staining at a dilution of 1:200.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Ig μ chain C region is a protein encoded by the IGHM gene in humans and is expressed on the surface of T cells. It is associated with agammaglobulinemia-1. Immunoglobulin is expressed in epithelial cell and plays a role in growth and survival. IgG heavy chain is expressed in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). IgM derived from AML might be a novel AML-related molecule that is involved in leukemogenesis and AML progression. It may serve as a useful molecular marker for designing targeted therapy and monitoring minimal residual disease. Elevated levels of soluble IGM Ligand (sCD40L) were found in serum of patients with chronic spontaneous urticaria (CU).
Physical form
Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide.
