General description
Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) is an enzyme that is responsible for converting tryptophan to kynurenines. IDO is expressed by a wide variety of tissues and can be upregulated by interferon gamma. IDO modulates levels of the amino acid tryptophan, which is vital for cell growth, but is also involved in the suppression of the immune response. IDO may be involved in the suppression of the immune response to tumours and blocking the IDO pathway may be a potential target for immunotherapy.
Specificity
This antibody does not cross react with Ido2.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to mouse Ido1.
Application
Anti-Ido1, clone 8G11 Antibody is an antibody against Ido1 for use in Western Blotting, Flow Cytometry.
Western Blotting Analysis: A representative lot detected Ido1 in splenic dendric cells from WT or KO mouse tissue lysate (Oberdan Leo, Universite Libre de Bruxelles).
Flow Cytometry Analysis: A representative lot detected Ido1 in splenic dendric cells from mouse (Oberdan Leo, Universite Libre de Bruxelles).
Quality
Evaluated by Western Blotting in Ido1-Flag tag transfected HEK293T cell lysate.
Western Blotting Analysis: 0.5 µg/mL of this antibody detected Ido1 in 10 µg of Ido1-Flag tag transfected HEK293T cell lysate.
