General description
Microtubule-associated protein 4 (MAP4) is a ubiquitous non-neuronal microtubule-associated protein. This protein binds, polymerizes, and stabilizes microtubules and is thought to regulate microtubule dynamics during the cell cycle. p34cdc2 kinase phosphorylation of MAP4 appears to regulate the control of microtubule reorganization at mitosis (Ookata, 1997).
Specificity
Antibody recognizes the C-terminus of MAP4.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of human MAP4.
Application
This Anti-MAP4 Antibody is validated for use in WB, IC for the detection of MAP4.
Western blot (SNAP ID) Analysis: 0.5 µg/mL from a previous lot detected MAP4 in 10 µg of HeLa cell lysate.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: 1:500 dilution from a previous lot detected MAP4 in HeLa, NIH/3T3, and A431 cells.
Quality
Evaluated by Western blot in HeLa cell lysate.
Western blot Analysis: 0.05 µg/mL of this antibody detected MAP4 in 10 µg of HeLa cell lysate.
