ZooMAb antibodies represent an entirely new generation of recombinant monoclonal antibodies.
Each ZooMAb antibody is manufactured using our proprietary recombinant expression system, purified to homogeneity, and precisely dispensed to produce robust and highly reproducible lot-to-lot consistency. Only top-performing clones are released for use by researchers. Each antibody is validated for high specificity and affinity across multiple applications, including its most commonly used application. ZooMAb antibodies are reliably available and ready to ship when you need them.

Specificity
Clone 2N19 is a ZooMAb rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects Neurofilament H. It targets an epitope within 131 amino acids from the C-terminal region.
Immunogen
GST/His-tagged recombinant fragment corresponding to 131 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human Neurofilament H.
Application
Anti-Neurofilament H, clone 2N19 ZooMAb, Cat. No. ZRB1410, is a recombinant Rabbit monoclonal antibody that targets Neurofilament H and is tested for use in Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry, and Western Blotting.
Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected Neurofilament H in mouse brain tissue lysate.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected Neurofilament H in SH-SY5Y cells.
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected Neurofilament H in human brain tissue sections.
Note: Actual optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user as specimens, and experimental conditions may vary with the end user.
Target description
Neurofilament heavy polypeptide (UniProt: P12036; also known as NF-H, 200 kDa neurofilament protein, Neurofilament triplet H protein) is encoded by the NEFH (also known as KIAA0845, NFH) gene (Gene ID: 4744) in human. (Neurofilament heavy polypeptide (UniProt: P12036; also known as NF-H, 200 kDa neurofilament protein, Neurofilament triplet H protein) is encoded by the NEFH (also known as KIAA0845, NFH) gene (Gene ID: 4744) in human. Neurofilaments (~ 10 nm in diameter) are intermediate filaments that serve as major elements of the cytoskeleton supporting the axon cytoplasm. They are the most abundant fibrillar components of the axon, being on average 3-10 times more frequent than axonal microtubules. They are built from three intertwined protofibrils, which are themselves composed of two tetrameric protofilament complexes of monomeric proteins. The neurofilament triplet proteins (68/70, 160, and 200 kDa) occur in both the central and peripheral nervous system and are usually neuron specific. The 68/70 kDa NF-L protein can self-assemble into a filamentous structure, however the 160 kDa NF-M and 200 kDa NF-H proteins require the presence of the 68/70 kDa NF-L protein to co-assemble. Antibodies to NF-H are useful for identifying neuronal cells and their processes in tissue sections and in tissue culture. NF-H antibodies are helpful in the identification of neurofilament accumulations seen in many neurological diseases, such as Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Alzheimer′s disease. Although typically restricted to neurons, neurofilaments have been detected in paragangliomas and adrenal and extra-adrenal pheochromocytomas. Carcinoids, neuroendocrine carcinomas of the skin, and oat cell carcinomas of the lung are also known to express neurofilaments. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.
