Immunogen
Anti-phospho-GATA4 (pSer105) antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at working dilution 1:500.
synthetic phosphopeptide derived from the region of GATA-4 that contains serine 105.
Biochem/physiol Actions
GATA-4 has a molar mass of 46kDa and belongs to the GATA family of zinc finger-containing transcription factors. It is involved in the development of cardiac hypertrophy and remodeling. It plays a crucial role in regulating basal and agonist or stress-induced gene expression in cardiac and smooth muscle cell types. Upon agonist stimulation via MEK1-ERK1/2, and weakly via JNK or p38 MAPKs, Ser105 of GATA-4 is phosphorylated. Phosphorylation of GATA-4 by hepatocyte growth factor facilitates cell survival in cardiac muscle cells via MEK/ERK-dependent signaling pathway.
