Immunogen
Immunogen Sequence: GI # 32483410, sequence 1-474
Vitamin D-binding protein (native protein).
Application
Anti-Vitamin D-Binding Protein antibody produced in chicken is suitable for indirect ELISA and western blotting analysis at a dilution of 1:500, for tissue or cell staining at a dilution of 1:200.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Vitamin D-binding protein (also known as gc-globulin) is a protein encoded by the GC gene in humans. It transports vitamin D metabolites in the circulation. Both vitamin D metabolites and vitamin D binding proteins (VDBP) are associated with asthma (regulation in the lung during acute allergen-induced airway inflammation). Vitamin D-binding protein (VDBP) haplotypes also influence free vitamin D levels.
Physical form
Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide.
