Cell Line Description
Derived from new-born bovine turbinate tissue. Used in propagation of BVDV and IBRV, some strains of parainfluenza 3 virus (P1-3V), some types of bovine adenovirus and enterovirus. Negative for BVDV.
Culture Medium
EMEM (HBSS) + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 10% Horse Serum (HS)
Subculture Routine
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 i.e. seeding at 3x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin; 5% CO2;37°C.
