Human Caucasian Cervical carcinoma
Cell Line Description
Established from a cervical carcinoma of a 41 year old Caucasian female. Cells form stratified, epithelial colonies and retain properties of squamous cell differentiation in long term culture. They are morphologically and cytogenetically distinct from C-4 II (Sigma Catalogue number. 88102701). Reported to contain human papilloma virus. Handle as potentially biohazardous material.

W aymouth′s MB 752/1 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculture Routine
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:4 to 1:10 i.e. seeding at 1-3x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
