Human T cell leukaemia
Cell Line Description
Clone of C63/CRII-4 derived by fusion of primary umbilical cord blood cells with HTLV-1 producing line from adult T cell leukaemia lymphoma patient. Contain defective HTLV-1 genome. In presence of HIV cells fuse to form syncytia. The cells should be handled under laboratory containment level 2.
Culture Medium
RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculture Routine
Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C. Cells grow in aggregates.
