Integrin beta 1is also known as CD29. It is a transmembrane glycoprotein that forms noncovalent complexes with various Integrin alpha subunits, forming the functional receptors that bind to specific extracellular matrix proteins.

Specificity The antibody reacts with the integrin beta1 chain which is a membrane glycoprotein (130 kDa) that can complex with the 6 different alpha-chains of the VLA&#8242s. It is also known as VLA beta1-chain and the fibronectin receptor.
