Application
Chlorine gas has been used to generate chlorine atoms via photolysis for molecular halogen photochemical experiments.
It can be used:
- As a reactant for the extraction of gold from an alluvial material via a pyrometallurgical process.
- To synthesize carbide-derived carbons (CDC) from zirconium carbide.
Packaging
Supplied in a carbon steel lecture bottle with a CGA180M/CGA110F needle valve installed.
Compatible with the following:
- Aldrich® lecture-bottle station systems
- Aldrich® lecture-bottle gas regulators
