General description
Corticosteroid hormone synthesized in response to stress. Binds to and activates mineralocorticoid and glucocorticoid receptors, resulting in altered expression which eventually affects ionic conductances through the membrane. Also induces apoptosis in murine bone marrow.
Corticosteroid hormone synthesized in response to stress. Binds to and activates mineralocorticoid and glucocorticoid receptors, resulting in altered genomic expression. Steroid-induced changes in protein synthesis eventually affect ionic conductances through the membrane. Also induces apoptosis in murine bone marrow.
