The PMD CJD Instrument Set is compromised of single use, high-quality instruments in a basket. The PMD CJD (Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease) comes packaged in a self-contained basket and consists of one or more of the following instruments: Hudson Brace McKenzie Bur Gigli wire saw and handles BiPolar bayonet forceps and cable Standard bayonet forceps Foerster Sponge forcep, Metzenbaum Mayo scissor Mayo-Hegar needle holder Frazier suction tubes (1 sizes each) Freer periosteal elevator Halsted-Mosquito forceps  If this instrument is/was used in a patient with, or suspected of having Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), the instrument cannot be reused and must be incinerated postoperatively, due to the inability to reprocess or sterilize to eliminate the risk of cross-contamination. Consult WHO and local regulations for further information. The surgical instrument must be inspected, cleaned and sterilized before each surgical procedure.
