Paromomycin Sulfate is the sulfate salt of an antibiotic substance or substances produced by the growth of Streptomyces rimosus var. paromomycinus, or a mixture of two or more such salts.

Paromomycin Sulfate is an aminoglycoside antibiotic which inhibits protein initiation. Paromomycin sulfate salt has been used as a reference compound in antileishmanial activity RNA-binding ligand and interacts with aptamer.
