Synthware flushing adapter is used to flush and fill attached vessels with an inert gas to provide protective storage. A ballon is connected to the top hose connection. An inert gas is connected to the side hose connection. The ballon can be expanded with inert gas at the same time as the vessel or separately. The stopcock is then rotated to connect the ballon to the vessel, providing its own portable gas source to balance volume changes due to sample removal. The T-bore PTFE stopcock has a 2 mm bore. The joint is a standard taper inner joint. Balloon is not supplied.
