In disinfection application Glyoxal is a biocidal active ingredient for disinfection formulation in health industry and veterinary hygiene . Also, Glyoxal can be used in wood hardening application for better protection from moisture.The sulfur scavenging property allows Glyoxal to act as a H2S scavenger with biocidal effect in water treatment and oilfield industries.
