The product gives a spectrum of normal serum precipitin arcs when tested by immunoelectrophoresis with anti-guinea pig serum. The product is tested for its ability to lyse red blood cells. Pooled guinea pig serum is filtered through a 0.22 µm filter, vialed and lyophilized. No preservative is added. Guinea Pig Complement is suitable for use in hemolytic titrations and cytotoxicity assays, and as a serum protein control in immunoelectrophoresis, Ouchterlony immunodiffusion, and other immunoprecipitation techniques. This product has not been absorbed, and should be tested for use in specific cytotoxicity applications. Product is guinea pig serum, rapidly processed to preserve complement activity.
