Cell Line Description
HF19 has been established from a 14 week old female foetus. The cells are heterozygous for thymidine kinase and have been used for studies of radiation-induced DNA damage.

Culture Medium
EMEM (EBSS) + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculture Routine
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:10 i.e. seeding at 1-4x10,000 cells /cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
