Cell Line Description
Established by EBV transformation of mononuclear cells from a peripheral blood sample of a 58 year old male patient. The patient was reported to carry Xeroderma pigmentosum variant form.
Application
Toxicity studies, hprt mutation analysis
Culture Medium
RPMI 1640 + 4mM Glutamine + 200 μg/ml Sodium Pyruvate (NaPy) + 15% Heat Inactivated (HI-FBS).
Subculture Routine
Maintain cultures between 3-9 x 100,000 cells/ml, dilute every 1-2 days to 3 x 100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2, 37°C. Cells form floating aggregates.
