Hybond®N+ is a high sensitivity positively charged nylon membrane for DNA and RNA blotting with nucleic acid binding capacity and high tensile strength.

Application

Hybond®-N+ hybridization membranes are ideal to use with:

  • chemiluminescence and chemifluorescence detection systems that are radioactive or nonradioactive
  • all membrane arrays with a high density
  • applications that need high sensitivity and/or probing

Features and Benefits

  • On both sides, all Hybond®membranes are identical
  • Incompatible with alkali blotting and fixation
  • To ensure that only the most consistent product reaches the user, production runs are carefully monitored, and the product is thoroughly screened
  • Specially designed for life science applications
  • In conventional southern blotting, produces excellent sensitivity
  • To prevent high background sides, nylon needs to be extensively blocked before being detected with antibodies due to its high protein binding capacity
  • Not suitable for western blotting
