General description
IGEPAL® CA-630 is a nonionic, non-denaturing detergent suitable for solubilization, isolation and purification of membrane protein complexes. It is chemically indistinguishable from Nonidet P-40.
Application
IGEPAL® CA-630 has been used:
- In phosducin co-precipitation assay for pull down of Epitope-Tagged HAGγ1 and HAGγ1C71S
- As a component of lysis buffer for cell culture and sample preparation for MAPK (mitogen-activated protein kinases) analysis, Immunoblotting
- In the extraction of cells in Oil Red O staining procedure to visualise lipid formation in cells during adipogenesis
- As a component of lysis buffer containing Tris-HCl, NaCl and EDTA for immunoblotting experiment

Caution
May become turbid on storage; a clear product can be obtained on heating to 40°C.
May develop turbidity or sediment during storage. A clear liquid can be obtained on heating to 40°C.
