Interleukin-17 receptor D (IL-17RD) , also known as similar expression to the fibroblast growth factor receptor (SEF), is a member of the interleukin-17 receptor family. Studies indicate that IL-17RD interacts with IL-17R to facilitate IL-17 signaling. Additionally, IL-17RD may play an important role in preventing certain types of cancer. Studies suggest that IL-17D acts as a feedback inhibitor of fibroblast growth factor-mediated MAPK signaling and ERK activation. Studies indicate that IL-17D can bind to MEK/ERK complexes preventing nuclear ERK translocation and subsequent cell proliferation. Recombinant Mouse IL-17 RD produced in CHO cells is a polypeptide chain containing 271 amino acids.
