General description
ITK (IL2-inducible T-cell kinase) is a member of the Tec family of tyrosine kinases. ITK is expressed in T-cells.
Biochem/physiol Actions
ITK (IL2-inducible T-cell kinase) is important for T-cell activation through the T-cell antigen receptor. Absence of ITK in T cells causes impairment in TCR (T cell receptor)-mediated actin polymerization, cell polarization and signaling events associated with cytoskeletal reorganization.
Physical form
Supplied in 50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, with 150 mM NaCl, 0.2 5mM DTT, 0.1 mM EGTA, 0.1 mM EDTA, 0.1 mM PMSF, and 25% glycerol.
