Cell Line Origin
Human Caucasian B-prolymphocytic leukaemia, EBV transformed
Cell Line Description
Derived from the peripheral blood of a human Caucasian male patient with prolymphocytic leukaemia. Cells have been subsequently transformed by treatment with EBV and TPA (12-0-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate). JVM-13 cells express surface-membrane and cytoplasmic lambda light chain immunoglobulin. Immunological markers detected were HLA-DR, CD19, CD20, CD21, FMC7, CD38, CD71 and CD9.
Application
Study of B cell leukaemia
