Cell Line Description
Derived from NCTC clone 929 in serum-free medium. The cells were adapted from horse serum containing medium to serum-free over a period of one year.
Application
Genetic and biochemical studies
Culture Medium
Medium 199 + 2mM Glutamine + 0.5% Bacto-peptone (Difco).
Subculture Routine
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:10 i.e. seeding at 1-3x10,000 cells/cm2 by scraping off the cells and resuspending into new flasks; 5% CO2; 37°C.
