It has mixed ionic and electronic conductivities with high electrocatalytic activity. It forms thin films with higher performance than the thick dense film.Lanthanum strontium cobalt ferrite (LSCF) is a mixed ionic and electron conducting pervoskite. The ionic conductivity is lower than YSZ although maintaining high conductivity. X-ray diffraction and electrochemical measurements of an operational LSCF cathode was conducted to study its lattice expansion during use.
