Human Caucasian lung squamous cell carcinoma
Cell Line Description
Derived from a lung squamous cell carcinoma of a 72 year old Caucasian male. The B-lymphoblastoid cell line AGLCL (Sigma Catalogue number. 89120566) was derived from the same patient. Cells grow as large swollen aggregates, which will detach and eventually grow in suspension.
Application
Control cell line for heterozygosity studies using the AGLCL cell line
Culture Medium
RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculture Routine
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:5 to 1:10 i.e. seeding at 5x1,000-2x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA, 5% CO2; 37°C.
