M-Endo HiVeg™ broth MF (MF Endo HiVeg™ Medium) (M-Coliform HiVeg™ broth) is recommended for enumeration of coliform bacteria in water samples using one step membrane filtration technique by differentiating between lactose-fermenters and non-fermenters. This medium employed sodium sulphite and basic fuchsin instead of bile salts to achieve inhibition of gram-positive bacteria. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
