MERmaid SPIN Kit is designed for rapid purification of single-stranded or double-stranded DNA (10 bp to 200 bp) from gel material, nucleotides, salts, proteins, or other undesirable components of a mixture. This kit combines the advantages of silica binding with a convenient spin column format, eliminating the need for expensive resins or toxic organic compounds such as phenol and chloroform. Purifies small MW DNA away from undesirable components of a mixture. ssDNA or dsDNA oligomers or PCR products are readily purified from agarose and polyacrylamide gels or from solutions. Purified DNA can be used in enzymatic reactions, conventional or automatred sequencing, cloning, and microarray analysis. This kit helps to recover labeled DNA fragments with ease. Up to 95% recovery of ready-to-use DNA for a fast and convenient procedure.
