Cell Line Description
Derived by transformation of embryonic BALB/c fibroblasts with M-MSV. The cells have been used as a control for cells treated with interferon.

Interferon, transformation and virus studies: M-MSV
Culture Medium
RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculture Routine
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:10 i.e. seeding at 1-3x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
