Aladdin's Penicillin-Streptomycin-Gentamicin Solution (100X) contains three antibiotics. It is sterile and can be added directly into cell culture medium. This product inhibits the growth of bacteria as well as some mycoplasma.aladdin offers a variety of antibiotic combination solutions for the prevention of microbial contamination during cell culture. Penicillin-Streptomycin-Gentamicin Solution (100X) is based on Penicillin-Streptomycin Solution (100X) with the addition of Gentamicin. Penicillin is a β-lactam antibiotic that inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell wall. Streptomycin and gentamicin are aminoglycoside antibiotics that can inhibit the synthesis of bacterial proteins. Gentamicin also has an inhibitory effect on some mycoplasma.Special care needs to be taken to prevent cell culture from microbial contamination, as contaminated cell cultures are essentially unusable. Therefore, appropriate antibiotics should be added in cell culture, especially when culturing precious cell lines. Penicillin-Streptomycin-Gentamicin Solution (100X) is prepared in 0.9% sodium chloride, containing 10 kU/ml of penicillin, 10 mg/ml of streptomycin, and 5 mg/ml of gentamicin. The recommended working concentration of penicillin in cell culture is 100 U/ml, streptomycin is 0.1 mg/ml and gentamicin is 50 μg/ml.One package of this product is sufficient for preparing 10L of cell culture medium.Precautions：Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
