Prionex is a polypeptide fraction of highly purified dermal collagen from porcine origin. It has excellent protein stabilizing properties and has been used as a supplement in cell culture media to improve attachement. Prionex is a Type A Gelatin, making it an ideal protein stabilizer for PCR and blocking agent in Western blotting or ELISA. Prionex is readily soluble in aqueous solutions and DMSO.
