Rabbit Antiserum to Human Serum, 2mL

The total protein is measured using the Biuret procedure, with bovine albumin as a standard. Antibody titer is standardized with an in-house control by immunoelectrophoresis. Each antiserum is tested for specificity at a minimum of 80 mg/mL using immunoelectrophoresis. The antiserum is prepared by hyperimmunizing rabbits with human serum. The antiserum is delipidated and dialyzed into 0.02M sodium phosphate, 0.14M sodium chloride, pH 7.3, with 0.05% sodium azide, adjusted to standard titer, filtered through a 0.22 µm filter, vialed and lyophilized. Serum is the component of blood plasma without cells and clotting factors. It is used in various assays, research and also as a supplement in cell culture. Anti-human serum antibody can be used in immunoelectrophoresis. Rabbit anti-human serum antibody reacts specifically with normal human serum. Rabbit Antiserum to Human Serum is used in immunostaining of cell suspensions, acetone-fixed frozen tissue sections, and formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections. It is suitable for use as a precipitating antibody. It gives sharp precipitin lines in immunoelectrophoresis and immunodiffusion techniques. Rabbit Antiserum to Human Serum is the lyophilized powder of rabbit antiserum to human serum and buffer salts.
