General description
The amount of sugar in an aqueous solution is measured indegrees Brix (symbol °Bx).One gram of sucrose in 100 grams of the solutionequals one degree Brix, which measures the solution′s strength as a percentageof its weight (%w/w).
Application
- Refractive index standard for use as a reference standard in determination of Brix value by refractometers
