Cell Line Description
Derived from a 29 year old male Caucasian with Hodgkin′s disease. One of a large series of permanent lines from leukocytes in the peripheral blood of donors with and without malignancies. Has cell-associated EBV and produces immunoglobulins. This cell line was initially thought to have been derived from Hodgkin lymphoma, but is now known to be an EBV-positive B-lymphoblastoid cell line.

Culture Medium
RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 20% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculture Routine
Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C.
