Use standard lab glassware and any brand hotplate stirrer to create a flexible, affordable workstation to meet users chemistry needs. For use in benchtop stirring applications from 2 to 250 mL, the StarFish accepts a wide range of standard glassware, including dram vials, test tubes, beakers and round-bottom flasks. It is suitable for simple heating or stirring and for more complex experiments, including distillation, refluxing, extractions, etc. Water distribution and gas/vacuum manifolds accommodate up to five individual experiments. Vessels may be set up for individual or parallel applications. StarFish easily and efficiently stirs the contents of dram vials, test tubes, beakers, conical flasks and round-bottom flasks. It is ideal for almost any stirring application including those commonly used in the fields of microbiology, tissue culture analysis, biochemistry and analytical chemistry. All StarFish base plates and blocks are made from anodized aluminum, which provides excellent heat transfer. Precision manufacturing also ensures excellent contact between the blocks and the base plate. StarFish can be used for all types of chemical synthesis and it accommodates standard round-bottom flasks from 5 to 250 mL, 1-inch and 24 mm test tubes and dram vials. Use the versatile 5-way telescopic clamp to hold glass condensers of any size and the water and gas/vacuum distribution manifolds to distribute cooling water or gas to a maximum of five independent vessels, eliminating the fuss of glass manifolds, stopcocks and excessive tubing. Accommodating any standard, round-bottom flasks from 5 to 250 mL, StarFish can easily accept complete glassware assemblies for Soxhlet, liquid-liquid, reverse liquid-liquid and reflux extraction methods.
