StirBase with Remote Controller, 120V

Now turn your existing HotBlock into a stirring Hotblock! This can be used for performing Hexavalent Chromium in soils, some pharmaceutical dissolutions, and other methods requiring both heating and mixing of your samples. Just set your HotBlock onto the StirBase, drop our special stir bars (unit shipped with a pack of 60 stir bars) into the digestion vessels, and turn it on. The control knob on the remote controller can change the operating speed of the StirBase from 1 - 100. Maximum speed is set at 2150 RPM. Instead of spinning a magnetic stir bar horizontally, the StirBase tumbles the bar vertically inside each digestion vessel. This provides an efficient, safe, and consistent mixing of all your samples. The rugged, remote controller is provided with a 6 foot cable so it can be operated safely outside the fume hood. If you remove the HotBlock, the StirBase can be used as a large stirring surface (16"x22") to mix multiple glass beakers for other lab applications. Our magnetic stirring bars are custom-designed and tested to work with our StirBase. They are 11.5mm in diameter and 23.1mm long, so they are ideal in our 50mL digestion vessels. The stirbar magnets themselves are PEEK encapsulated to protect them from any corrosive acids. These are very strong magnets, so the stirbars should be added to the digestion vessels prior to placement in the HotBlock. Each StirBlock comes with 6 packs of 10 stirbars. Use the StirBase by itself to mix samples in beakers and flasks that do not require heating. Stirbars should be added to the beakers prior to placement on the StirBase.
