Aladdin's T4 Gene 32 Protein is a single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) binding protein encoded by gene 32 of the bacteriophage T4 genome.T4 Gene 32 Protein is required for T4 DNA replication and repair. During T4 DNA replication, T4 gp32 protein binds to and stabilize the regions of ssDNA transiently formed. When examining the intracellular DNA structure by electron microscope, this protein is extensively used to stabilize and mark regions of ssDNA.
