General description
TRANSIA® PLATE Listeria spp. 10X is an ELISA test kit that incorporates proven antibody-antigen "sandwich" assay technology for the detection of Listeria species in both food and environmental samples. Highly specific antibodies coated to polystyrene microtiter plate wells capture and bind the target antigen, if present. A detection antibody linked to a conjugate enzyme is introduced to form an antibody/antigen/antibody sandwich. Finally, a substrate is added and converted by the conjugate enzyme to produce a color change indicating the presence of the target pathogen. The extensive AOAC and AFNOR validations and built-in positive and negative controls combine to provide users with the necessary confidence in the results. The efficient divisible 96-well format and available automation make it an ideal solution for high-volume testing.
Application
TRANSIA® PLATE Listeria is a kit for detection of the Listeria (L. monocytogenes, L. ivanovii, L. innocua, L. seeligeri, L. welshimeri, and L. grayi) in dairy products, meat products, seafood products, vegetables, and environmental samples. The assay reliably recovers and detects low levels of Listeria spp. in a variety of samples.
Features and Benefits
- Detects all 6 species of Listeria providing a true indication of product and surface quality.
- Positive and Negative controls supplied with the kit.
Components
- 10 microplates with dividable microwell strips with 96 wells (12 microwell strips of 8 microwells).
- Negative control: (bacterial antigens not belonging to the Listeria genus), ready-to-use, 2 x 20 mL.
- Positive control: Listeria monocytogenes antigens, ready-to-use, 2 x 10mL.
- Conjugate (contains peroxidase conjugated anti-Listeria antibodies), ready-to-use, 2 x 57 mL.
- Wash buffer, 20 X concentration, 800 mL.
- Substrate (urea H2O2), ready-to-use, 1 x 57 mL.
- Chromogen (TMB), ready-to-use, 1 x 57 mL.
- Stop solution (H2SO4), ready-to-use, 2 x 57 mL.
Principle
TRANSIA® PLATE Listeria is an ELISA test (Enzyme Linked Immuno Sorbent Assay) based on a two step sandwich-type reaction. The solid support of the reaction is a microtitration plate with dividable microwellstrips. Specific antibodies of flagellar antigens are grafted on the microtitration plate wells.
