Tryptone T Type III is manufactured under controlled conditions by enzymic hydrolysis. It is used for production of Tetanus toxin. It is also used as media ingredient for the cultivation of bacteria, fungi, moulds and yeasts. Application: For Tetanus Toxin, Culture Media ingredient Appearance: Off white to light yellow Homogenous Free flowing powder, having Characteristic but not putrescent odor Solubility: Freely soluble in distilled/purified water, insoluble in alcohol Clarity: 1% w/v aqueous solution is clear without any haziness after autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121ºC ) for 15 minutes Reaction: Reaction of 2% w/v aqueous solution at 25ºC Cultural response: Cultural response observed after an incubation at 35-37°C for 18-24 hours by preparing Tryptone Broth (M463) using Tryptone T Type III as an ingredient
