Base has more limited chemical resistance: usable with weak acids and aliphatic alcohols and fair resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons. Wall thickness 1/8 inch; o.d x height shown in listings. Avoid prolonged exposure to the following chemicals or their vapors: amines, aldehydes, esters, aromatic hydrocarbons and ketones. WARNING: do not autoclave when used for vacuum service. Not usable with most organic solvents. Contact with unsaturated or partially halogenated hydrocarbons may cause immediate failure of jar.
