Clear, Colorless Liquid Water, DEPC-Treated, is a DEPC(Diethylpyrocarbonate)-treated and sterile filtered water. DEPC inactivates RNase enzymes in water by covalent modifications of the histidine residues. Water, DEPC-Treated is used for the reconstitution of lyophilized products such as oligomers, proteins, and siRNA Applications WATER, DNase, RNase-Free, is designed for those critical applications where DNase and RNase contamination can be serious problems. Preparation Method Deionized water treated with 0.001% diethylpyrocarbonate (DEPC). Filtered through 0.2 micron filter and autoclaved to yield a sterile solution completely free of detectable DNase (both exo and endo) and RNase.
